Artist Statement

In the shade of a tree,

I make and I break lines.

Unruly twigs become steps.

I find things then I hide things.

Remembering some people,

I write words then delete words.

Closing a book I paint it shut.

Inky darkness.

Something else appears,

A cobalt blue bird with four legs,

This is my work - period.
